DKNY in the Starbazaar

A few years ago, the average second-hand selling price for DKNY was around 20sd. Not too long ago the average price rose to 30sd, then 40sd, and now you'll be lucky to find items such as skirts, tops and shoes for under 50sd. Why exactly has the price risen so much?
Perhaps because as time goes on, collectors find pieces they've been looking for and don't sell them on, therefore the piece becomes rarer and the price rises. Also, people in general will pay more just because the item is old, especially new members.
So, what do you think about DKNY becoming rarer? Do you find that you're willing to pay more than you used to, or (like me) rarely buy DKNY items any more and want the old prices back?

DKNY Free

This is all the free DKNY which Stardoll has given out over the years, either on purpose or by accident.

The DKNY Lurex Tank Dress.

This was given out to celebrate the new year and now cannot be sold in the StarBazaar - you used to be able to sell it for starcoins, but now you can't. I don't have this dress, although I would like to, but it is not incredibly rare and I think this is because it was originally given out for free.

DKNY Bike.

This was a prize for a competition on Stardoll in 2008. This is very rare even though it was free, and only a few were given out. Apparently, the bike was released after for 12sd - odd.

  

DKNY Interior (not technically free, but still).

The DKNY interior that a few users own was given out as part of the gift-o-meter that made an appearance on Stardoll at the same time as the anniversary collection - the sixth. When you spent 100sd you got the DKNY dress, and when you spent 200sd you got the DKNY logo interior.

The 5th DKNY collection.

This was released by accident for free for a short period of time before it was removed and released again for the correct price. I wish I had been there to buy everything!

DKNY Scuba Dress

The DKNY Scuba Dress is rare for many reasons. 1. It's first season DKNY. 2. It was sold for starcoins, and collectors go crazy for really rare items that are sold for starcoins. 3. It was originally supposed to be a hotbuy in September 2007 - so were a pair of DKNY shoes, the heart print scarf and the sequin tank. The tank was released in October 2007.

Seventh Season DKNY 2009

The seventh DKNY collection, also the last, was my favorite on Stardoll. It's hard to choose a favorite item as I love them all, but I would probably say I like the DKNY Big Black Wool Scarf and DKNY Headband Fuchsia the most. The rarest items in this collection are the DKNY Striped Button-Up Cardigan, the DKNY Big Black Wool Scarf and all three of the headbands, the green headband being the least popular. 

Sixth Season DKNY 2009

The sixth DKNY collection was known as the 20th anniversary collection, and was released on Stardoll in spring 2009. My favorite items are the DKNY Ikat Print Dress, DKNY Twill Colorblock Dress and DKNY Sky Print Party Dress, and these are also some of the rarest items from this season. I also like the blue and black Seasonless Miniskirts as they go well with a lot of other items.

Fifth Season DKNY

The last floor of the fourth collection stayed a little longer with the fifth collection. I think I liked the floor where the colour theme was brown and green, although I probably preferred the second floor. I particularly liked the DKNY Flora Print Blouse and this is also probably the rarest item from the fifth DKNY collection on Stardoll.
